Quilting FUNdamentals: Log Cabin

The Log Cabin pattern is one of the easiest quilt patterns to sew, and will be one of your most satisfying go-tos even when you graduate to intermediate or expert quilter. Traditionally in the United States, Log Cabin quilts were made with a red center and a light side and a dark side, but there really are no rules! And there are so many elements to play with: light and dark, the illusion of curves, and more. You can buy fabric and cut 2 1/2" strips yourself, or you can buy a jelly roll and use that, or you can use up scraps if you have them. In this class you'll learn some quilting basics, including rotary cutting, chain piecing, traditional versus wonky blocks, and tips to make your quilting easy and fun.
